8-Day Detox
Basic Premise: Eliminate all dietary toxins and foods associated with common allergies and sensitivities, and consume a Vegan diet consisting mainly of cleansing fresh Organic fruits and vegetables to aid the body in detoxification and elimination.
Prohibited Foods: all processed foods, animal protein, dairy, wheat (gluten), processed soy products, peanuts, beans, nightshade vegetables (e.g. peppers, tomatoes, potatoes and eggplant), refined and artificial sweeteners, and all grains with the exception of quinoa and millet.
Sample Itinerary:
Days 1,2 & 7,8: Vegan diet excluding prohibited foods listed above, Fresh Organic Juices every morning
Breakfast: Quinoa breakfast Porridge with
walnuts and dried fruit, “Harvest” juice
Lunch: Cabbage Rolls stuffed w/ Millet,
Carrot, Cucumber, sesame seeds, avocado, Sesame-Braggs Dipping Sauce, Steamed
Edamame
Dinner: Mashed Butternut Squash w/ Sage and
Pecans, Sautéed Green Beans and Quinoa with Kale
Day 3 & 4:
Fresh Organic Juice or Liver cleansing breakfast shake, Vegan diet excluding prohibited foods and nuts
Breakfast: Liver Cleansing Breakfast shake:
fresh juiced orange, grapefruit, lemon and ginger blended with parsley, garlic,
olive oil, cayenne and cloves or Fresh organic Juice and Blueberry Cornmeal wedges with organic maple syrup and sliced bananas
Lunch: Spinach Salad with pears, Sunflower
seeds, avo, currents, edamame and Orange Thyme Dressing
Dinner: Roasted acorn squash stuffed with
cardamom spiced quinoa, served with steamed seasonal vegetables
Days 5 & 6,
green days: Liver cleansing breakfast shake, only green vegetables and
fruits permitted with the addition of onions, garlic, ginger, olive oil and
basic seasonings
Breakfast: Liver Cleansing Breakfast Shake
Lunch: “No Greens Forgotten” salad with 12
different greens and a creamy Avocado- herb dressing
Dinner: Green PEAce Soup with Side of Sauteed
